Ms. Mestas currently works with individuals struggling with obesity. Those considering gastric bi-pass surgery and others that have had gastric bi-pass surgery. Ms. Mestas embraces a holistic approach to psychotherapy and utilizes the initial interview to assess how to provide comprehensive consultation, psychological services and care for the individual. At that time the clinician and the client will identify therapeutic goals that the individual wants to attain during their sessions.
Integrative Emotional Enrichment Services, P.C., IEES, has it's office in a shared space with The Chicago Stress Relief Center, Inc. This location allows Ms. Mestas to integrate her consulting work with the benefit and experience of Dr. Howard K. Weissman. Ms. Mestas has a long term relationship with Dr. Weissman and greatly respects his knowledge and expertise.

Ms. Mestas Is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from DePaul University in 2000 and her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chicago Campus in 2003. She has extensive life experience and a background advocating for children and families of children with special needs. Her area of focus was with children with emotional problems impacting the child's ability to receive a free appropriate public education. Ms. Mestas has been in private practice for the last seven years at the Center for Psychological Services.
Ms. Mestas recently opened her independent private practice in Northbrook. Integrative Emotional Enrichment Services, P.C. IEES, provides counseling services at the same location as The Chicago Stress Relief Center, Inc. and she enjoys working with clients of all ages. Her special interest is providing therapy to those experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, grief and eating disorders. She currently works with those individuals struggling with obesity and considering gastric bi-pass surgery and those that have had gastric bi-pass surgery wanting to understand their binging behaviors which led to obesity. Ms. Mestas worked for Weight Watchers International for five years as a Leader. During that time she conducted support groups daily and assisted a myriad of individuals lose hundreds of pounds.
Ms. Mestas' therapeutic approach includes; Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic-Insight Oriented and Goal-based interventions. Ms. Mestas is Level II trained in E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Which is a tool utilized for those individuals impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Integrative Emotional Enrichment Services, P.C. IEES, is a provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance and APS/IRG.
